THE PURPOSE OF THIS MODIFICATION IS TO EXTEND THE PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE TO ALLOW INGALLS TO REMEDIATE THE NON-COMPLIANT MONROE CABLES CONTAINED IN THE AGREED TO VITAL CIRCUITS AND FIRE DETECTION CIRCUITS IN ACCORDANCE WITH FAR 52.246-2 ALT 2 AND H.12(C)(8). THE PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE EXTENSION SHOWN IN THIS MODIFICATION IS SOLELY FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE REMEDIATION OF THE NON-COMPLIANT MONROE CABLE.
