THIS EFFORT WILL INVOLVE MEASURING ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE OF A TEST AIRCRAFT. DUE TO THE ABILITY TO ACQUIRE DATA FOR DIFFERENT CONFIGURATIONS OF THE AIRCRAFT AND THE ABILITY TO INSTRUMENT THE AIRCRAFT, THESE TESTS WILL PROVIDE DATA UNIQUE TO NASA TO ENABLE MORE CONFIDENCE IN THE ABILITY OF THE MODELS TO PREDICT NOISE FOR AIRCRAFT INCLUDING UNCONVENTIONAL CONFIGURATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY. THIS MODELING CAPABILITY IS HIGHLY CRITICAL TO THE AATT PROJECT. THE PROJECT IS INTERESTED IN PURSUING FLIGHT TESTS EXPECTED TO OCCUR IN 2019 WITH A B787 TESTBED AIRCRAFT DURING THE ECO DEMONSTRATOR 2019 FLIGHT TEST. A STUDY WITH THE BOEING COMPANY IS REQUESTED TO ESTABLISH THE FEASIBILITY OF ADDING SYSTEM NOISE AND PAA OBJECTIVES TO THE EXISTING BOEING 2019 FLIGHT TEST CAMPAIGN. THE FEASIBILITY STUDY INCLUDES DEVELOPING PRELIMINARY PLANS FOR AIRCRAFT TEST FLIGHT MATRICES, GROUND INSTRUMENTATION, AIRCRAFT INSTRUMENTATION, AND AIRCRAFT DATA THAT WOULD BE REQUIRED TO ACCOMPLISH THE OBJECTIVES. ALSO INCLUDED IN THIS STUDY IS THE FEASIBILITY OF OBTAINING ADDITIONAL FLIGHT TEST DATA TAKEN DURING PREVIOUS FLIGHT TESTS WHICH WILL PROVIDE SUFFICIENT INFORMATION TO SUPPORT OR ADD TO THE DESIRED OBJECTIVES.
